Jarrow Formulas® PQQ delivers pyrroloquinoline quinone as the disodium salt form, supplied as BioPQQ™ — a trademark of MGC (Japan) — in a once-daily capsule. BioPQQ™ is manufactured in Japan. PQQ is an enzyme cofactor that functions to help protect mitochondria from oxidative stress and promotes the creation of new mitochondria, a process known as mitochondrial biogenesis.
PQQ also functions as a cofactor for the production of pyruvate, which is the first step in cellular metabolism, supporting efficient metabolism to produce cellular energy. It additionally plays a role in supporting heart health and normal cognitive function.
