Advanced Perfect Prenatal Multivitamin is a whole-food prenatal multivitamin in vegetarian tablet form, made by New Chapter, a Vermont-based company established in 1982 and certified as a B Corporation.
The formula is built on New Chapter's ferment media — a cultured base of organic soy flour, organic Saccharomyces cerevisiae, organic orange peel powder, organic carrot powder, organic alfalfa powder, deactivated papain and bromelain, lactic acid bacteria, and a prenatal probiotic combination — through which the vitamins and minerals are delivered. Vitamin A is provided solely as beta-carotene from this ferment media. Vitamin D3 is supplied as cholecalciferol from ferment media. Vitamin K is present as both phylloquinone (K1) from ferment media and menaquinone-7 (K2) derived from natto. Folate is provided as methylfolate and as folic acid from ferment media. Iron is supplied as ferrous fumarate from ferment media. Calcium and magnesium are additionally sourced from algae Lithothamnion (Lithothamnion calcareum and Lithothamnion corallioides).
