MerProtect® Protocol is a one-week, two-step protocol made by Quicksilver Scientific and designed to support the body in binding and removing mercury and other heavy metals during and after the removal of "silver" dental amalgam fillings. The protocol includes two products — AmalgaClear® and Glutathione Complex — each addressing a distinct aspect of the body's need to bind compounds that may be released during amalgam removal, with the goal of helping to prevent their reabsorption.
AmalgaClear® is a powder containing IMD®, a proprietary thiol-functionalized silica that serves as the protocol's primary metals-binding agent. Prebiotic acacia gum (Efistab™ AA) is included to support gastrointestinal comfort and fluidity during binder use. The formula also provides Quali™-C Vitamin C sourced from European Sodium Ascorbate, Dietary Fiber, and PectaSol-C® Modified Citrus Pectin.
Glutathione Complex is a liposomal liquid delivering Opitac™ Glutathione — described by the manufacturer as the "master detoxifier" — along with a full B-vitamin complex (Thiamin, Riboflavin as Riboflavin-5-Phosphate, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folate as Calcium Folinate, Vitamin B12, Biotin, and Pantothenic Acid) and Milk Thistle Seed Extract, included for liver support. Trimethylglycine (as betaine) and Phosphatidylcholine from highly purified phospholipids round out the formula. The liquid is delivered in a liposomal format.
The protocol is intended to be used around the time of dental amalgam removal, as a pre- and post-procedure support tool. It includes complete protocol instructions. The Glutathione Complex requires refrigeration upon receipt and is shipped with ice packs. Quicksilver Scientific manufactures in an NSF GMP Certified Facility.
